Solarpunk Biologist

My submission for the Atomhawk Solarpunk contest.
This was a nice opportunity to explore this topic more since I am not so much used to do more sci-fi stuff.

// STORY:

Dr. Les T. work consists of searching for mutated plants that managed to adapt to the harsh conditions on earth and are still able to produce enough O2. The earths atmosphere changed drastically after a series of solar flares deformed the magnet field . This lead to big ares of the planets surface to be unhabitable and deserted. Dr. Les T. visits these outskirts outside the safe zone for her field trips. Her researchs aim to cultivate mutated plants which might have an higher o2 output and work more efficient. This is needed to compensate the huge loss of large forest areas.

Her Hazard Suit HZ4S / Sun PROTC. is able to withstand rough solar storms. The Sun PROTC. Unit on her back contains a special jacket which provides a heat resistant shield up to 200° for at least one hour.
