For my second 3D and Photobash project I again went for a "Last of Us" inspired scene.
I could not stop thinking about how the rest of the world could look like in the apocalypse of "The Last of Us".
So I came up with a story for how Germany could have dealt with it.
Germanys government collapsed after a few months after the initial outbreak of the Cordyceps Brain Infection.
The only institution that still managed to stay intact was the German Post Office.
They were the center agency that on the one hand helped trying to distribute a potencial vaccine but also lead to a bigger spread of the disease and to the downfall of the german society. In the early stages of the outbreak they hired several security agencys and also got help for the remaining rest of the german army to protect the distribution centers. This though lead to riotssince the security and army went with maximum brutality against everyone trying to get the vaccine directly from the post office.
A year after the outbreak the remaining post offices in germany founded the "postal alliance", which was a kind of local government that installed brutal laws against everyone that had different political views. Pretty soon a resistance group appeared and started fighting against the tyranny of the "postal alliance" and after two years of bloody battles the postal alliance collapes too.
The post office seen in the scene actually exists in Dresden, Germany and was used during the GDR times.
It was built in the 1960s and was unique for its architecture and details.
